My name is Danie Branch.  I am a french Canadian. So as you follow me and read my blog you will understand my french, english writing. Sometimes I think french but say it in English. This will be a journey for me and hopefully will help you step out of your comfort zone with anything you want to do. Blogging is a big step for me personally and excited to go on this journey and hopefully this will inspire you and make you laugh.
As the old saying goes, laughter is medicine!

I am married to my fabulous husband Todd for the past 21 years. We have three fabulous teenagers. We have lived in Alberta for the past 18 years but we are both originally from New Brunswick.

I am a stay at home mom for the past 18 years and have been advertising from home for the past 9.5  years.

Here is a little about me.

My favorite book...  I must say I prefer podcasts. I can't sit still long enough to read a book but I do love them on my bookshelf.

My favorite food~
I LOVE all foods.  I would say chocolate is my thing. I would have that for a meal if it didn’t sound so bad.  But on a healthy note I love every type of salad.  I could  eat it for lunch and then again for supper.

IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT… I MEAN YOU HAD TONS OF IT… WHAT WOULD YOU DO?  I would bring my entire family together for an amazing vacation. My two sisters and both parents all live in New Brunswick.   That will be amazing.

NAME ALL THE DIFFERENT CITIES/TOWNS YOU HAVE LIVED IN: I lived in Bathurst, NB,  Balmertown, ON,  Sunny Corner, NB  Newcastle,NB,  Prince Rupert, BC ,  Edmonton,AB, and St. Albert.AB

FAVORITE SPORTS/EVENTS TO WATCH?  Not really a sports fan  but have become a Esports fan as my two boys are both streamers for a popular gaming community.

MORNING PERSON, OR NIGHT OWL?

I am both, love to stay up late and love to get up early. Thank goodness for my supplements.

FAVORITE PLACE TO RELAX?

I would have to say my backyard with my family. Hot tub time is our no electronics zone and have all my families attention.

FAVORITE PLACE TO HOLIDAY? I would have to say Hawaii. But anywhere is fun.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR? Christmas for sure. I love having family time.

I also love coffee and walking, but most of all I love being with my family and friends.  I love to surround myself with great energy and people full of LOVE.

Three Months as an Empty Nester: A Full House, A Full Heart

It’s been three months since I officially became an empty nester—a journey filled with new beginnings, quiet moments, and learning to embrace this new stage of life. But this past weekend, my heart couldn’t have been fuller. All three of my kids were home at the same time, and for 24 wonderful hours, the house was alive again. The sounds of their laughter, the conversations spilling into the kitchen, and the simple joy of being together as a family reminded me of all the reasons I loved our home being so full for so many years. It was a weekend of shared meals, memories, and love—a gift I’ll treasure for a long time to come. As I continue adjusting to this new chapter, moments like this remind me that while our day-to-day may look different, the bonds we’ve built are unbreakable. I’m learning to hold these moments close, even as I step into this season of letting go.

My new hobby

A New Hobby That’s Rising: My Journey Into Sourdough Baking If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be spending my evenings feeding a sourdough starter, I might have laughed. But here I am, measuring flour and water with surprising excitement, watching as this living, bubbling mixture slowly comes to life. What started as a curiosity has quickly become a passion—and maybe even a little obsession. It all began with a desire to create something from scratch. I’d heard about the magic of sourdough—how it’s not just baking bread but nurturing a living culture. So, I did what anyone does these days: I dove into a rabbit hole of YouTube videos, blog posts, and tips from seasoned bakers. Armed with a mason jar and a simple mix of flour and water, I began my journey. Each night, I feed my starter, watching it transform from a lifeless paste to a bubbly, tangy mixture by morning. It’s fascinating to see how it changes—proof that something so simple can hold so much potential. But sourd...

My 75 Hard Journey

I am excited to share my journey with 75 Hard.  I am so excited  This is one of my accountability partners. Everyday she smiles and tells me I Got This. I want to show her that you can do anything you set your mind to! Everything happening around us can throw us off our day. Life can suck some days with covid. The reason I’m doing 75 hard is to be in control of what I eat, not let food control me. I love the outdoors and I get to do it twice a day... a privilege. Read 10 pages a day ... I never read, I listened to podcasts. Totally a podcast junkie. So love the push to read. I get up an hour early and that’s my coffee and read time. #metime Everything else is a bonus on this journey! Day 7 done #75hardchallenge
